Doug Chaulk is a Toronto-based freelance trumpet and flugelhorn player. He is the current flugelhorn soloist and Director of Marketing with the world-renowned Hannaford Street Silver Band (www.hssb.ca), Canada’s premier professional brass band. As founding member of The Sovereign Brass, one of Canada's top brass ensembles, Doug serves as Artistic Director and General Manager. He appears regularly as a guest performer at The Peoples Church in Toronto. Doug's career highlights include performances with the long-running Toronto production of Phantom of the Opera, principal trumpet with Royal Opera Canada and principal cornet with the Canadian Staff Band of The Salvation Army. His solo album Masterpiece and recordings he has produced for The Sovereign Brass are in circulation world-wide. More recently, Doug has been working with local churches, including the Northridge Community Church, to orchestrate and conduct major concert events and stage productions.
